How Sasobit^® works

• Flow improvement

Sasobit^® melts at about 100° C and significantly reduces the viscosity of the base bitumen. This offers advantages when it is added to hard and/or polymer-modified bitumen (e.g. PMB 25 and PMB 45) as well as highly modified polymer-bitumen.

• Low temperature sensitivity

Sasobit^® increases the asphalt’s resistance to deformation throughout the operating temperature range.

• Low temperature properties

Sasobit^® does not affect the low temperature properties of the asphalt, which are determined by the characteristics of the base bitumen.

Mixing Sasobit^®

Sasobit^® is completely soluble in bitumen at temperatures above 140° C
