Sasol Wax's Candle Wax Africa business unit offers the following waxes for household candle applications.
Sasolwax® M3E is a white paraffin wax developed especially for producing moulded household candles. Although the oil content of the wax is quite high, it does not have any effect on the production or properties of the candles. The wax also contains a unique oil-binding additive, which also provides excellent mould release properties as well as gloss. Sasolwax® M3E is supplied in slab form, 25 kg per carton and in the form of a coarse powder, 20 kg per polypropylene bag. For more information, see table.
Sasolwax® M3X is a white, hard paraffin wax. It contains a unique hardener, which provides the wax with excellent mould release properties and which also makes the wax ideally suited for use in high temperature environments. Sasolwax® M3X is ideally suited for producing moulded, extruded and drawn candles. It is supplied in slab form in 25 kg per carton or in the form of a coarse powder, 20 kg per polypropylene bag. Sasolwax® SRW (semi-refined wax) is a semi-translucent, hard, semi-refined paraffin wax. Although it is a semi-refined paraffin wax, it produces a candle with properties similar to those obtained with the fully refined petroleum waxes. Sasolwax® SRW is ideally suited for producing moulded, extruded and drawn household candles. Sasolwax® SRW is supplied in slab form, 25 kg per carton. For more information, see table.
