The excellent resistance to permanent deformation has been proven by the minimal rutting depth of 3.2mm, evaluated while carrying out the extended mix design.

• Paving temperature: 140°C to 150°C

Good paving properties and an improved compactability were obtained, although the paving temperature was significantly
reduced (25°C to 35°C).

This project was based on the extended mix design carried out in 2001. The mixing and paving temperatures were identical to the temperatures in 2001. Once again, the asphalt displayed excellent.
