Sasol Wax's Candle Wax Africa business unit offers the following waxes for decorative candle applications.
Sasolwax® DCW1 is a high quality, pure white, hard paraffin wax ideally suited for producing decorative candles. The wax can be used on its own without adding any of the additives normally used. It can be used for the base candle as well as for overdipping. Sasolwax® DCW1 is compatible with most pigments, dyes and fragrances. Sasolwax® DCW1 is supplied in the form of a coarse powder, 20 kg per polypropylene bag. For more information, see table.
Sasolwax® 5803 is a high quality, translucent paraffin wax ideally suited for producing decorative candles. The wax can be used on its own without adding any of the additives normally used. It can be used for the base candle as well as for overdipping. Sasolwax® 5803 is compatible with most pigments, dyes and fragrances. Sasolwax® 5803 is supplied in the form of slabs, 25 kg per carton. Sasolwax® M3X is a hard, white, hard paraffin wax ideally suited for producing decorative candles. The wax can be used on its own without adding any of the additives normally used. It can be used for the base candle as well as for overdipping. Sasolwax® M3X is compatible with most pigments, dyes and fragrances. Sasolwax® M3X is supplied in the form of a coarse powder, 20 kg per polypropylene bag or in slab form, 25 kg per carton. For more information, see table.
Sasolwax® M3E is a white paraffin wax. Although the oil content of the wax is quite high, it contains a unique oil-binding additive, which also provides excellent mould release properties as well as gloss. The wax is not recommended to be used where overdipping is required. Sasolwax® M3E is supplied in slab form, 25 kg per carton and in the form of a coarse powder, 20 kg per polypropylene bag. Sasolwax® SRW is a semi-translucent, hard, semi-refined paraffin wax. Although it is a semi-refined paraffin wax, it produces a candle with properties similar to those obtained with the fully refined petroleum waxes. Sasolwax®SRW is suited for producing decorative candles either as in or as a blending component. It is compatible with most dyes and fragrances.
