In der chemischen Industrie werden Sasol Wax Produkte sowohl als Prozesshilfsmittel und Rohmaterialien im Herstellungsprozess, als auch als Komponente im fertigen Produkt eingesetzt. Bei einigen Anwendungen finden sie Verwendung als inerte Träger für z.B. Farben, Wirkstoffe oder Düfte usw.
Paraffinwachse können, je nach deren physikalischen Eigenschaften und der Verarbeitungstechnologie, auch zur Hydrophobierung oder als Trenn- oder Dichtmittel eingesetzt werden. Manche Formulierungen beinhalten Paraffinwachse als Konsistenzgeber, Filmbildner oder temporäres Prozesshilfsmittel. Einige unserer Kunden modifizieren Paraffinwachse auch chemisch und stellen daraus Oxidate, Chlorparaffine oder Seifen, Alkohole oder Ester her.
